Trains did a story on MRL back in '93 or '94 and if I recall the explanation was that the safty decal salesman had a reflective red dot in his suitcase. One of the important types saw it and held it up against the nose. He liked it and the rest is history. Some of you might know this story a little better, but that's the best I can remember since I can't find the magazine anymore. I know this thread is about MRL model but I haven't kept up with MRL that well. Is there any connection between MRL and the other rail link? Yes. IMRL was absolutely related to MRL. In fact, much of the management was done out of the same MRL building in Missoula for the IMRL. Accounting, dispatching, etc. Boxcab E50
