Does anyone know how the PRR's Aerotrain cars were numbered? In the Don Ball book "The Pennsylvania Railroad 1940s-1950s" There is a photo showing the first car behind the locomotive and it is numbered 301. And in a photo of the tail car, the number is unreadable. In the book "PRR Color Guide to Freight and Passenger Equipment Vol 2", the car numbers are also visible, but I can't read them either.
Hello, There has been an article on the correct decoration of CC's Aerotrain for the PRR (I think, it was in the Keystone modeler). Gary Mittner made correct decal numbers for this train. First car - as you already mentioned - was 301. The number are going straight to 310 for the observation (on the model he numbered). Hope this helps Norman
Hi Larry, I have found the article on numbering the Aerotrain for PRR. It is in the Keystone modeler #56, pages 31-32. This issue is still available on the PRRHS-homepage as a free download. Additionally in #58 Gary describes a few updates to the train. Good luck Norman
