Thanks Jim , I may have to try that scenario. I would never be able to trust some of the club guys to remember.

Sorry Guys , it has been a while but just got back out to the room and here is the area I have been working on.
I am trying to get roads put in and figured out. I will again use roofing felt and hot glue to make these.

It has been a while since your last layout update! Hope there'll soon be video, using that new toy?

Mike...when you use roofing felt...do you ever find it shrinks at seams ? I know you dont have the temp swings like I do out in THE RV. Just wondering if those temp swings is what shrinks the roofing felt on my layout. hmmmmmmmmm

I am pretty sure the felt doesn't shrink. Maybe the base it is on? I do not have that trouble.
    Thanks George , Mike

Its on 1/2 inch plywood. Its not super bad...maybe 1/8 inch. Luckily enough the gap is at intersections. I should be able to put some light 'grey matter' in the gap...kinda give it a 'gutter' look across the intersection. ;-)

That would work George , I fill any gaps with Arizona Rock Asphalt powder and paint blend it in.

    Mike...

How do you get the 'sheen' off the felt roads ?

Mine all look like rain slick roads...:eek:hboy:

Well the felt its self is not glossy and I paint over it with Grimey Black.

Today I got the road painted and some base scenery down in the area. I also got the track and ballast stained. Got some stain on the road as well. Now for the fun detail stuff.
