Congrats on breaking 500 posts Mike! You are a brave soul for taking on such a project. Will you be able to reach all the staging yard tracks if there is a train in the front?

I will . There will be large elongated holes in the front of the fascia all the way down.
    Thanks , Mike

Mike - with respect to feeders on the helix, particularly if running DCC, remember the total length of track in there - you would want a few, rails soldered or not. The "every 6 to 10 foot" rule comes into play when you think that each circle ends up being 6 feet.

Mike, each circle using super elevated track is 8 feet. I put a feeder at 8 feet and find that when a train enters the helix it slows down. Feeders at every 3/4 turn would be better.

I can tell you from the 650ft we have out at the club the soldered hidden track has NO issues at all and we are about 20' between feeders even on the non soldered.
    Thanks , Mike

Wow! And Wow again! I take it the two track helix will give you easy access down and back up from the staging yard. Looking mighty fine.

Thanks Rick Both tracks will go down (or up) on the helix and the other end of the yard comes back up on a slope.
    Thanks , Mike
