This EMD SW8 gets a lot of duty switching the Danbury Railway Museum's yard, and, on many weekends, powers their Railyard Local train ride.
Under the watchful eyes of Fireman Russ Shipman and a small crowd of onlookers, Union Pacific DD40X number 6909 switches the American Freedom Train into it's display site at the GM plant, Kansas City, KS on 3/27/76. The huge Centennial unit sat nose to nose with the 4449 during the four days of the display, then assembled the AFT for it's departure for the next display date.
