Here are some pictures of weekend work on the Albuquerque Carnuel & Tijeras RR. This was all the wood from a piece of 2X12X8 redwood. Mike

Here is todays work. I got the decals on yesterday and weathered and painted today. Comments and suggestions welcome! Thanks , Mike
Looking at the trestle, as first pictured, reminded me of my days as a child. Playing with Lincoln Logs. What is the actual overall length of this impressive structure? That's a sweet little teakettle! Boxcab E50
Thanks Boxcab , It is about 18' long and is ripped redwood. I am going to work on a really short trestle tomorrow using dowelsand precut stringers. Thanks , Mike
BC , it is real moisture you see to settle the crusher fines. I found it makes a black mess when the dogs run through it though so it has since been covered with pea gravel. Mike
Mike, Nice work!! How is the weather on that end of the state? A bit warm for workin' out doors up here for me these days!! Keep up the GREAT work. John
Thanks John , It's HOT and right now humidity is up some. How is Aztec? Was through there last year on the way to Chama. I like it there. Navajo water up? Mike
Today , July 2, I got the low trestle built , painted , weathered and planted and the entire loop connected and am test running. Mike
Here is a video clip of the run today. Please be patient during loading! http://s42.photobucket.com/albums/e...rent=ATL-002064.flv&refPage=&imgAnch=imgAnch1 Thanks , Mike
I would like to know where you get your lettering. I want to do some home road lettering on my locos, but am at a loss for where to get started.
Michael , Try Stan Cedarleaf in Arizona at this site. http://gold.mylargescale.com/StanCedarleaf/WebPageDecals/CustomDecalsx.html $17.00 for the sheet of Silver I got. Thanks , Mike
