    Pat,
NICE SHOTS! Looks like you were having some fun! Post more if you have them! I'm sure the rest of us foamers will have a good time looking at what you got on film, or on disk!

I am passing through Grafton next week.
I might have a couple hours to spare.
Any good places to railfan there without being hassled too much?

A good spot is on the bridge over the yard there also several tall buildings along the rail yard, one has a parking lot with the access road down into the Yard station, you can go to that parking lot and get some decent shots, I don't go to Grafton much so I don't recall the specific street names. There also about 8 different roadways going in and out of Grafton (not all are good, lol) so it depends on how exactly you are going into Grafton. Much of the newer part of Grafton on a hill, the older part with the railyard is at the bottom of the hill squeezed beside the Tygart River. BTW, if you see the Old D tower let me know if it is still up I talked to a couple guys back in July and they were mentioning that CSX was wanting to remove the tower and move the base of operations elsewhere. There was a story about that tower in a TRAINS Magazine about 2 years ago called "The Trophy in the Tower" it was a pretty good story, I still have it.
