    Chessie and I railfanned Rocky Mount on Dec 29, 2006. Hre is a static display of an ACL observation car. It was built for the Rock Island around 1902. Pullman Standard repossessed it in a RI bankruptcy and resold it to ACL around 1927. Notice the ditch lights for backing up. Just a joke...I presume they are for track inspection.This car is sitting next to the Whopper Hopper.

    Really nice pics. It is a wonder that it has not been tagged by vandals. Wonder how they keep that from happening? :confused:
