Does anyone know how to bend an accumate trip pin without breaking the whole coupler? I think Micro-Mark sells a trip pin bender, will this work?

The Micro-Mark trip pin pliers for N scale (# 80892, pg 87 in the catalog I have) should work. I was also thinking of buying a pair, but have no actual experience with them. While they say they work with "Kadee, Intermountain and McHenry" you would expect that Accumate coupler pins aren't much different.

At least this will serve to bump the topic up to where someone who actually 'knows' the answer may respond.

    Regards

Do you have to use the trip pins? I just remove mine from the IM/Atlas cars.

But, to bend them, I use a small pair of needle nose pliers placed at each end of the pin and squeeze very carefully!! Same way I do the Micro Trains pins.
