On the way: Williams GG-1, 175' of Menards track, about a dozen pieces of rolling stock, vintage ZW transformer, lockons.

Up next: Fall train show season, used rolling stock, maybe some steam.

I spent a couple years in Harrisburg and have always wanted #4859 in O. Anything smaller always felt wrong after standing next to the real thing. So here we go.

Seen a semi-scale K4 on one of the layout tours and I uh, need one now.

I don't know where I'm going to put all this. I pulled up the whole-house floor loop a month ago because I was tired of stepping on tinplate in the middle of the night. Maybe just the living room, so I can run those sharknoses...

Wish I had kept mine. At the end I only used it outdoors. In the beginning I was a member and we had a small warehouse owned by ones family. But, I decided to sell mine and move on in 1998.

You're off to a good start. Carpet running can be a lot of fun.

As a kid, I grew up in a big old house with large rooms. I had a 4x8 handed down from an older cousin, which my dad trimmed around the edges so it was little larger than the track itself. There was enough space around it so my parents didn't have a problem with leaving it up for periods of time- One of my best memories from growing up.
