The Penn Lake Railway's paint shop has been very busy over the last few months. First up, the shop forces turned out a couple locomotives and cabooses: The RS3 started of as a Atlas unit, factory painted for Delaware-Lackawanna. I removed the DL lettering and replaced it with Penn Lake lettering: Changing the body color, for this S2, I used a combination of D&H and custom PL decals: And the attendant cabooses:
The shops forces also diligently worked on freight cars. 100 ton, triple bay, coal hoppers. 70 ton, triple bay, ore service hoppers. 70 ton, offset side, rock service hoppers. 70 ton, two bay, covered hopper, with previous owner's markings painted out.
