In late september my Dad and I went out to CA to visit some relatives and then drove back to VA. Along the way we did some train spotting and camped out in seligman AZ. Best campground ever! From the campground. Then we headed up to the hill above Seligman. I saw about 100 trains in the day and a half that I was in CA and AZ. Truly a railfan paradise. 8)
It's the KOA Kampground, (yes, they spell it with a "K" :tb-wacky The Tent sites are the closest, that where my pics were from.
Very nice silhouette shot of the hoppers. Seligman is a neat place, another town built by the railroads, dying by the lack of railroad business. :tb-sad:
Yeah but I think its dying also because of the dying of route 66 and the interstate detouring away from the town.:tb-sad:
I just uploaded a video of the same train in pic #3 & 4 to Youtube. Here ya go. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alUGdJ9LoMI"]YouTube - BNSF east of Seligman Arizona[/ame]
