Well, I'm in partial disassembly of my N-Scale empire (15x30). It's for a good reason. My son is beginning to use his Lionel train quite a bit, so I am giving the middle of our train room to him. The N-Scale lines will run around the room and his Lionel will be on a board in the middle so he can get around it and play.

Now the extra expense of going with Kato uni-track is paying off dividends. As I pull track, I am able to do so without wrecking havoc on the track so it will all be usable or tradeable later.

Gonna be a great time with my son as he and I build our empires again - together! Ron

I would have a tear in my eye too, but from joy. My son never showed the interest. You will cherish your time with him and he with you. I can't think of a better way for a father and son to connect. It'll be life-long.

That is great, your doing something I have always dreamed of. I had a O scale High Rail layout for a few years, look up Westfield in my Railimages album if you want. The high rail layout was the focus of Christmas when I run a solid line of dated Christmas box cars, and the 4th of July when I would run my American Freedom Train. It was a fun layout, and maybe some day I'll build another one. Have fun building a layout, memories and stronger relationship with your son. Oh and please post pictures in the O scale forum of your progress.
