After 2 weeks of cloudy weather, we had a sunny day today and I had the chance to take some pictures outside. Enjoy!
Hi Jürg, Thanks very much for sharing these... it should almost be a law that we have to photograph our trains in natural light John http://www.ztrains.com
Realy nice pictures Jürg. And yes real sunlight is fun to photograph in. It gives so nice and clear shadows
Great photos Jurg, What was the outside temperature when you took them? Its -16C here right now and both of my digital cameras stop working as soon as they get a sniff of the cold. Natural light sure brings out the best. Great work.
Different times of day give different effects too. Here is a shot taken in the morning about 1/2 hour after sunrise: Here's a shot of the same scene at the end of a sunny day, just before the sun goes down:
These are all great pictures. you guys are real photographers. of course your excellent subjects make them real. happy new year's day! dave f.
Still sunny here in Switzerland and no Snow (just on the mountains). Dome/Observation from David Freehling Maersk Train from Tim Buehring Robert Rays Centerbeam Cars
Jurg, That natural lighting makes all the difference in the world, great photos. Once it warms up here I'll take my diarama outside and take some photos, too cold here now, was -32c here this AM with the wind chill at about -45c. About 1m of new snow in the last 2 weeks too. Great weather for street hockey! Bob
Jurg, Take a closer look at UP #3312 the truck sideframes are on upside down :embarassed: I like the daylight photos! I took this in the morning with all the lights out. The layout was sitting on a table next to a window and the morning light started coming in so I grabbed the camera:
Great pictures everyone! Now I'll have to try that myself. Natural light really makes a difference. Thanks for sharing.
