This is my first attempt at using the Helicon software package with a Nikon 60 mm micro lens. The camera was a bit to close to the rocks and pine tree on the extreme left hand side of the photo. I used 6 images to make the final photo.

I need to do at least 8-12 images .

    Bob,

I've replied about this image elsewhere. It looks like it's almost there. We're all playing with this software to one goal--better pictures!

    Pete:

I'm going to try using the 18-55mm lens tomorrow at an fstop of 8 instead of 22.

With the 60 mm micro lens your transition area is smaller so individual cuts become less.

I didn't have too much time to play with this image this afternoon.

    Bob,

    Good shots!

I think the highlights are a little blown out, at least on the web, so you might want to back down a stop. The black/white nose of those diesels is a real photo problem.

The second set of shots are fine. I found the same problem with the white being picked up too much. I think it was because my lighting was too low and exposure time too long.

    Pete:

The front headlight of the FT is on and shining into the camera.

I am having trouble finding the thread, but, how can you use Helicon with the close up lens since the adjustmentment on the micro lens changes the framing when adjusted?
