I am buying out a large quantity of equipment, 200 freight cars, locos etc. Much is new in box. I plan on retaining the usable stock for my road and reselling the rest.
Is there any place I can get values for this material. I am not looking to make a big profit, but i would like to get something out of it. I will post again when I have the material in hand. If all goes well, I may do some more buying and selling.

I suppose that at least some value would be based upon which manufacturers items are included. There is always that one large Internet auction site, however, prices there can fluctuate a lot.

I've done this a few times and done fairly well buying a "lot" of athearn BB kits or roundhouse kits. I keep what I want and sell what I don't and usually come out better than if I had just bought each piece individually.

    KOKORACEGUY,
You could sit down with a Model Railroad magazine, and copy the
retail prices for the rolling stock you have on hand.
We have even used "Post-it-Notes" for auction sales, successfully
because they wont mar the box surface when removed. I
t all depends on the condition, and appearance, but wise buyers
will want to know details about broken or missing parts, and you
better be honest! Word gets around fast.
