OK. The move is now complete. The boxes are waiting to be unpacked. I've been looking at back issues of Model Railroader. The Fine scale Miniature kits are still intact. The question I have for my railroad brothers is.... I am planning on buying a Digitrax system. At what stage is it right for me to purchase and install this system? During benchwork? If you have your new empire all planned out, and know already what will be necessary, I'd suppose that you could get it pre-construction. Otherwise, you'll need it for certain when you've reached the wiring stage for the layout. Boxcab E50
Chooch: I suggest you buy your Digitrax DCC system when you start your benchwork. That way, you'll be able able to familiarize yourself with Digitrax manual for your system. You can install the system and wiring as you lay the track work of your layout. Have fun!!
