Alright all ya' all. If you have been paying attention to the N-scale thread, you know I am in teardown phase. I have come up with a new plan using SCARM. I really like the setup in the program. My previous layout lacked a certain excitement that existed on a previous layout. I wanted that back. So here is a look at my plan. I believe my tightest radius is 15 at the horseshoe turn. I am going to use #6 switches or better. I am trying to keep everything below a 2% grade. It will be atlas code 80 track, atlas and peco switches. The total dimension of the room is 11x15.
If you have any suggestions let me know. I am open to ant of those. My last layout did not go as planned and got worse when I moved it. Let me know what you think..

Thinking of your recent experience, will this layout ever need to be moved? Perhaps consider some sort of modular construction, just in case...?

Yes I sure will. It will be assembled in movable sections. I will use sectional track at the joints..

I see the future expansion spur. Nice.
At Carnage on the right side, the one spur that is for the freight house? might be better served if the switch was in the middle of the siding and facing the opposite direction. As it sits you will have to foul the mainline to work the siding.
But it looks much better than the old.
