Not too long ago, I tore out my nearly completed layout and began a rebuilding project. The new layout has reached a certain level of acheivement. The main line is laid, and the branch line is about 1/2 done. No ballast yet, or any scenery, but, the trains are now rolling, at least on the main. With a new layout, I decided that I wanted a new paint scheme for the Augsburg and Concord Railroad. However, being the cheapskate I am, I didn't want to have to trash the custom decals I already had, which were yellow lettering. So, I finally found a use for those Reader's Digest dummy locomotives, as paint scheme testers. I liked the CNW green and yellow, but tried reversing it... Here's the newly approved scheme for the Augsburg and Concord Railroad. The railroad herald will be located behind the cab, in between the cab and the Roadname. I just don't have a pic of that. As always, comments are welcome. Jeff Augsburg & Concord R.R. (a fictional shortline in Central Illinois) http://www.pegnsean.net/~revnjeff
I like those colors too! I also liked your new layout plan and would like to see pictures of your progress when you get some. Keep us updated!
It has my vote, I am partial to that color combination, as I use and like the Citrus and yellow combo of the Seaboard, (as you can tell)
Thanks for the compliments on the scheme. As I said, the CNW is my inspiration. As far as pictures, I should be able to post some this weekend. By that time, the pictures should be back from the processor and scanned and uploaded. Jeff Augsburg & Concord R.R. (a fictional shortline in Central Illinois) http://www.pegnsean.net/~revnjeff
