Just thought I would throw in a couple of pics of a batch of ten 10-unit Impack cars just completed. !00 trailers needed to fill these
Alan, What a beautiful site! Not only are they great models of an even greater prototype, but they remind me of Imperial Stormtroopers in formation for their inspection from Darth Vader!!!! The best of two worlds!!! Maybe you should get with George Lucas and release a Star Wars trainset!!!
Oh my! That looks terrific! Lucky customers, those! So does this mean you'll begin to accept RTR orders soon? Do you accept trade-ins of half-complete, half-botched jobs? You know, like those LaZBoy ads? "Bring us your old recliner and walk out with a brand new LaZBoy!" Aw, c'mon!
I must say they look absolutely brilliant! i would love to have that many of those cars, i would also love to have the space for them too keep up the great work alan
They sure do look like the high quality Alan puts out! OH? Well, then that is the reason they look so professional then! I have often wondered how fast they have to go to get the trailer up on those things?
Paul, yes I think I can Robert, not sure, but it was a few hours! No wonder I don't make much money from ready-to-runs
Alan, perhaps you ought to considering offering your products with a third option: painted, but undecaled. I'd buy products that way (you already know that!) William
Back to the original premise of the thread, do you realize how few trailers are currently on the market? MT's offerings are spurious at best, Atlas seems to not be replacing their Pines units and DeLuxe only makes theirs as RoadRailers. You know how desperate you are when you start eyeing those Con-Cor vintage trailers... So... when are you bringing out your new line of 45/48/53 ft trailers? Now that you're totally bored with nothing to do any more this could keep you off the streets and out of trouble... right?
THAT IS SIMPLY AWESOME!! Question about era on those puppies. Is that a contemporary scheme or an older one from the earlier days of intermodal? I've really never seen that, although it sure is neat! Russ
The Santa Fe "Fuel Foilers" were the first intermodal spine cars It sort of took off big time after that
WOW!!! I'm gonna have to go with what Russ said! Hey Alan, what type of trailers do you recomend? I need to fill up the spine cars sets I have bought from you (finally finished) and I want good looking, modern trailers but I'm having a rough time finding them. I love how Micro Trains look, but the cost would set me back more then I'm willing to pay (plus they are hard to find and in limited schemes). Hmmmmm, maybe we should pester Mark at the Portofhollywood.com a little to see if he can conjur up a special run with Delux!
Hi Craig, where ya been hidin'? Trailers are a problem. Everyone is screaming for them, but no one seems to be hearing Just have to snap them up as they appear! Good idea about asking Mark to have a special run done
