Been out of the modeling loop for a month or so. I went down to the GEHAMS clubhouse to get my revenge on a piece of out of gauge track that caused a derailment... resulting in major damage to an SD45:tb-mad: With my revenge satisfied, I decided to run a little. Since no one else was there, I figured I could tie up the main line and stage some photos. Most were shot using the lowest F-stop on the camera with a 2-3 sec. exposure, using the room lighting. Once some more of the scenery is finished, I plan to use some lamps for better lighting.
Very nice! The train in the runby really captures the era. Is there any more info about this layout available? The GEHAMS web site appears to be mostly a work-in-progress.
nice shots and video. well at least you only had to replace one section at your club. my club almost the entire place needs better trackage!
Great shots & great video! I have been so swamped at work lately that all I have been able to do is scan the new threads quickly. However, this one made me stop & post. Thanks for sharing--a great dose of N-scale model railroading to make my day. Jamie
Thanks for the comments guys. There is not a whole lot out there about the club. Kind of a "There's a club in Bakersfield???" type deal... Well, I played around with the available lighting and camera settings tonight and came up with the following... A little photo shopping was done to "fix" some issues... Filters, fixing backdrops etc... my skills in that department are a little lacking...
A couple more... well, same shot with some modifications. Added "smoke" and a lens flare. You can almost hear those 567's:tb-ooh:
