Hi Everyone, At the end of the summer I really started enjoying setting up an outdoor track with nothing more then sand, rocks, sticks and some old ho scale plastic buildings and filming crash videos in 1000 fps. I think some of the shots are pretty great. The only casualty of the experiment has been the Burlington Northern GP40. I learnt that real sand has a ton of iron in it and now the engine doesn't work anymore. If anyone has a good way to clean it I'm all ears. Here is the video and some pictures.
OK, I'll post a "Crash Action" photo. It's an enlargement of my avatar and is my Treble-O-Lectric layout from 1964. A staged train wreck. No real damage, of course, since I carefully placed everything for the photo. Doug
LOL We need FIRE! Or, at least, major environmental contamination like some lying dead ducks, beached fish or something to that effect! (kidding) Give yer "sanded diesel" a good blast with "CRC QD Electronic Cleaner"!
