    Hi Everyone,

At the end of the summer I really started enjoying setting up an outdoor track with nothing more then sand, rocks, sticks and some old ho scale plastic buildings and filming crash videos in 1000 fps. I think some of the shots are pretty great.

The only casualty of the experiment has been the Burlington Northern GP40. I learnt that real sand has a ton of iron in it and now the engine doesn't work anymore. If anyone has a good way to clean it I'm all ears.

Here is the video and some pictures.

OK, I'll post a "Crash Action" photo. It's an enlargement of my avatar and is my Treble-O-Lectric layout from 1964. A staged train wreck. No real damage, of course, since I carefully placed everything for the photo.

That's exactly how I would crash my DCC trains. Gently and carefully :)

LOL We need FIRE! Or, at least, major environmental contamination like some lying dead ducks, beached fish or something to that effect! (kidding)

Give yer "sanded diesel" a good blast with "CRC QD Electronic Cleaner"!

There were no environmental concerns in 1964.
