    HO modeler,
I don't believe thats an American Flyer model actually! I had one just like it in my shop an it was a sceptical unit! Believe it or not it was closer to an OLD A.C. Gilbert model. IS the boiler cast metal?

I'd like some upclose pictures of that if possible an could help you alot more, but you can't quite see the parts well in the pictures..... BUT if I'm not misstaken by the looks of the tender, an the drive, where the motor sets, in the fire box, it reminds me of an A.C. Gilbert 4-6-4.

    Yes I beleive it is.
A.C. Gilbert bought out ot meged with (I can't remember which) with American Flyer.
I was wondering if you would have the instruction manual for the engine i am searching for parts that I have no clue what they look like.

    Thanks
    Eric

    Eric,
No, I don't have the manual for that loco, believe it or not, I would guess say that loco was new in the mid to late 1960's an possibly early 1970's. All I can say is lots of luck, they are a real rare loco to have, not many known to have made the test of time. (Not many were sold as far as I know). Being they I THINK were only sold in a train set.

As for parts for it, You won't find any to buy UNLESS you find another loco of the same an use it as a parts supply, they are no longer made nor does any other company carry a parts line that I know of. Surely a rarity to find in either case.
