I am getting ready to get into my next 2 drawings and I need some information. The first is on the Dash9's. Was the lower area, I.E. tanks, sideframes, plow etc., painted green or gray? All the pictures I have seen seem to indicate gray but that could be because of road grime. Second does anyone have a good color shot of the streamlined E-4, 4-6-4? Or knows what colors(s) it was including pin striping? Thank you in advance.

From what I can see in pictures dated back to around 1995 it looks like the front, plow and steps are all green and the sideframes, tanks etc. are either black or green but I cannot find a clear picture of this.
C&NW As for the Dash 9's and AC4400's the fuet tanks and trucks were painted black. The plow was C&NW Green. The units that are in U.P. paint are painted just like the rest of the U.P. GE's. Grey underbody and plow.
