Verlot, Washington is in Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest northeast of Marysville, east of Granite Falls, between Robe and Silverton. It's also southwest of Darrington. Boy, is that guy lucky! I think it would be wonderful to live in a caboose. Lack of space and privacy may be a problem, though.

    Caboose Home

There is the Ex: GN 228 in Skykomish that someone uses as a home. The attached photo was taken about four years ago. Since it is a home be respectful if you visit.

I don't think that anyone is living in that caboose at this time. I worked for two winters at Stevens Pass Ski Area, lived in Skykomish, quite often visited that caboose. One of the bus drivers for the resort told me that he knew the caboose's owner, and the owner actually lives in Leavenworth and (I think :bear-unsure:) also works for the ski area. The driver said, too, that the caboose in Skykomish looks very much like it did when it was still in service on the inside. That driver offered to introduce me to the caboose's owner and let me see inside, but I never took him up on that offer.

Usually, the stickers are below the cab. Don't know why the sticker is on the back.
