The two 89 footers (in San Antonio) on the left have WP reporting marks. A lot of 89 foot and 60 foot boxcars come through San Antonio on UP heading to-from Mexico with car parts.
I always have liked the 89 footers... I am pretty sure that I saw the Athearn cars before I saw the prototypes. Harold
Caught no less than 5 in Feb while in Reno, mostly GT and CN. My room at the Nugget gave me a perfect vantage point to watch the comings and goings in the Sparks Yard.
