I knew 844 was heading to the pendelton roundup, but apperently she's coming to portland first. Per the schedule, she's in hinkle tonight and will be in portland tomorrow.
Will be in all day Tuesday. She's listed as being on display. At albina, but its not clear to me if that means guests are allowed in the yard, or if she'll really be at union station. I've got to work both days, but if possible, I'm going to try to come down after work.

Well, up.com says she's stopped near portland. I took the max to albina and saw nothing. I don't know if I can try this again tomorrow. Any of the portland contingent know where in albina she will be and if non-employees can see her?

According to a post by Arlen Sheldrake on that other site, she is at Albina facing north. I'm 150 miles from there and can't verify it. :tb-sad:

Huh, Where in Albina I wonder?

It wasn't viewable from the entrance. At least it wasn't at 7pm.

IF I go back tomorrow, would I be allowed to go on property?

According to the map on up.com which I couldn't access on my phone, its hidden behind the offices, so no wonder I couldn't see it.

When the 3985 came a few years back they parked it roughly behind the offices from where you would normally enter Albina Yard by car at N Russell and Interstate. They had it open during certain hours, but I don't remember it being publicized far and wide.

Here's a video Robert West shot today...

    Great video thanks.

I don't think I'll try again tonight. I didn't get there until 6:45 last night odds are that won't improve.

    She'll be back.

Excellent video. A little over a year ago when I was up in Portland for the N Scale Convention there was another old Steamer up there doing an Excursion trip back Midwest; I think it was 1449. Neat to see the Old Beast rumbling down the track still.

Thanks I knew it was something like that. Nice picture also. Sure wish I could have made arrangements to go on that trip; but the Convention and it's location was nice as well.
