Yup... either a UP or one of the dirty BNSF Superfleets... depends on which one goes by the back-yard this weekend.
Perfect, I've been looking for an excuse to use the new Railfan Jeep:tb-cool: Good thing the Ic track is only a mile away... Jim
Well, since I need "weathered" shots, I'm sure that all I will see this weekend is new, shiny stuff. I'm joking anyway...I'm sure I can find something around here.
Cloudy n damp weather here today and no improvement for tomorrow, so I’ll go ahead and post my entry from Little John grain’s siding. inch
Heres a look at a Mainline weathered by time and the elements. This used to be the TAG Mainline. It is now owned by the NS, though never used. This is where the line started it's climb up Lookout Mountain. Several miles from here the line followed a valley and crossed a high bridge. Now, like the railroad itself, those are just memories.
Is that an E-6? I love that slant nose! (They're even better when they have stainless flanks, and adorned with fluted stainless as well....)
