Dang it. TO bad ill be campin this weekend so I probably wont have nothing for this week. Maybe monday morning when I get home I can come up with something.
Old flasher from the C&O. Just showed up in my yard. I plan on wiring it up with a photo cell so it flashes when cars pull up. Cast iron crossbucks.
Oldrk - I keep hoping something like your warning light will accidentally fall out of a plane or fall off a truck and land in my yard. Terrific idea to have it activate when a car approaches. How about using one of the cheap motion detectors from one of the porch lights they sell at of the _Marts?
motion detector Tim,thats the basic idea. When I built our house I had a few places that had sort of dark hallways. I put motion sensors with variable timers in the hallways that turned lights off and on as you pass through. I might try one of those.
CP RG 415 DEBEQUE The sun kept hiding behind the clouds but I did manage to catch this signal today east of DeBeque, CO. Ben
Count me in I was standing on main street hoping for a train. Trust me in Chadwick you can stand in the middle of main street for hours and look for trains. Some days you will see more trains then cars:shade:
The "No subject" of this photo is HUMIDITY!!! That horrible wet blanket that surrounds everything. We in Kentucky have definitely hit August and it is hot and nasty. I ventured up Eagle Tunnel Rd. this weekend for this shot. Between the heat and the local sheriff, I'm not sure it was worth it. Eagle Tunnel (or what was Eagle Tunnel) is around Glencoe, KY, on the old L&N Shortline. It was the last surviving tunnel on the line before being daylighted.
Mr. Train, Reminds me of a line from an old Jimmie Rodgers song: "I'm a thousand miles away from home, waiting for a train".
It's tuesday Aug. 7 here in ILL any one heard from the Colonel? It's not like him to be late to his own contest.
