OK I will be the first to ask a dumb question. Loads? any thing loaded on the rail or open flat bed loads? I don't want to have egg on my face again because I didn't read to rules. :embarassed:
Plaining a trip to our youngest daughters in Springfeild Sat, and the weather suppose to be some better. I'm like MR Train and would like to know alittle more about what your considering loads. MR. TRAIN, what part of Illinois do you live in. I'm in E. central by Martinsville. inch

Man. so far I have struck out. I have seen trains full of empty coal gons, empty gravel gons, tank cars and covered hoppers. No open loads unless you want to count the bulk head flat car I saw full of post holes for power poles.
Ok, I'll get this one going. Didn't think I was going to get anything today till I ran into this Willamette & Pacific Log train leaving Salem, Oregon and heading south to Albany. Would have been a solid log train except for the 6 empty Centerbeam flats on the end!
Here's a continuous rail load in the IC&E yard just west of the Mississippi swing bridge in Sabula IA.

SOuth end of Minto siding, River Road S. on the other side of the tracks......I shot the same train a mile or so south of you. A similar 664 train yesterday had a long cut of logs bracketed by empty centerbeam flats on eother side. Had two ex-StL&A GP40s on the point
