Expansions are coming to the DAV&P. The fist picture shows the resent expansion in the B ( Second room as in room A and room B ). The newly completed bridge # 4 can bee seen in the right foreground. A passenger train in the far center background can bee seen sitting on the siding. In the right hand foreground you can see a temporary passenger station, that is standing in for Cassadaga’s passenger station tell I have time to scratch build the replica of that station. Note the removable work bench in the center of the room. It is held on the side of the layout by 2 key hole tabs and 2 screws. The legs are easily removed and the table top can be removed in just a fe seconds, when company comes to view the railroad.

The second photo shows the under construction Ros Mills bridge. The second level of the railroad crosses over the roundhouse and would have blocked some of the view of the roundhouse. So It was decided to put in a bridge, that spanned over the roundhouse allowing less of the roundhouse view to be obstructed. The bridge is 7 foot and 6 inches long. The other photos show more of the new upper deck. Note the supports for the outer edge of the upper deck. In places where I needed to support the outer edge of the upper deck, I used some medium chain hung from the ceiling, to support the outer edge of the upper deck. This created a small view block and certainly looks better then a leg running all the way to the floor. I had to reinforce the layout where the chains are attached with a scrap of 2 x 4 under the deck so the chains had something strong to attached to.

Soon I will be adding lighting under the second deck as this had made much of the first level dark as all get out. I also have to add and or paint back drops in on the upper level. There is still so much to do, but real progress has come this winter.

I took a quick look this morning on the way out the door.

Now I have time to say I really think you've done a great job there. Using the bridge to open up the scene is a great idea. And the scene? Wonderful! That old 'down town' atmosphere is excellent. Perhaps a few more pictures are in order.
