    5000 is quite a number. I'll need to try remembering that unit number, just in case....

    That seems completely incredible. When one remembers that more than 20 years were necessary to build ~6700 samples of the famous F-Unit, or 16 years for a little less than 4000 samples of the equally famous SD40-2.... How long ago did the GEVOs appear? 5 years? 6 years, 7 years? Even if these and their EMD counterparts SD70ACe/M2 are very renowned, it's difficult for me to trust this.
