Yes, the Miniature Wonderland in Hamburg, Germany, is truly wonderful, it's level of craftsmanship, breadth, scale, and ingenuity is truly remarkable. I was there in Nov 2005, and here's a bunch of pictures if you'd like to see more: Minature_Wonderlands photos and albums on webshots And I know there are many other great photos of Miniature Wonderland on the web as well. If you ever get to Hamburg, Germany, you really need to allow a full day to see it. Go early, and it's best during the week as during weekends its very crowded. (by the way, if you think this is another 'Northlandz'.... no comparison. Miniature Wonderland is a vast craftsman model railroad on a scale that is stunning.
Well said John. With the sincerity in you writing who wouldn't want to go. I have seen an article on this layout I think in MR and I must agree that the craftsmanship is exceptional.
I've seen vids and articles about it before, but that word still seems the most appropriate. And for those arguing over which Lenz/Digitrax/NCE system to get, how about that control room?
