I definitely didn't forget the girls. They were the best part of the show. I don't care what others may say, I think I would like my daughters to be a lot like you. wink:
If I have a daughter and she doesn't turn into a tomboy, my g/f and I are going to wonder where we went wrong rofl
This year I hope to finish my clubs new DCC buss wiring on the facia of our layout. On the home layout front I would like to make a new entrance to my attic so I can install a Helix in the closet that is now the entrance to the attic and build the upper level on the layout. I'm also planning to install several more working signals on it.
Goals for the Secret Places Sub: Get the whole layout (HCD, all 3x7 feet of it) to the 75% scenery stage. Redo the fascia;prime/paint, and add a fabric skirt around the layout once the sloppy stuff is done. Install turnout controls. Ballast the whole layout What's done so far: Scenery 90% roughed-in. Track laid, weathered, debugged. Crescent area 60% scenicked Tunnel 18 90% scenicked Tunnel 19 0% scenicked Tunnel 25 60% scenicked Tunnel 26 60% scenicked Here's to a productive 2012!
1. build 15 more cp rail sd40-2f redbarns 2. do another 'the canadian' in via rail colors 3. do 10 more via rail f40ph 4. do 6 more cefx sd45 5. install decoders in 9 gp9 chop nose and c420. 6. install lights in the train room 7. add more lighted buildings 8. continue work on the layout 9. paint approx 20 more sd40/sd40-2 in cp rail colors 10. add weight to hundreds of cars 11. weather hundreds of cars 12. paint another g-scale dash-9 ...to be continued...
1. decide which railroad i want to model (down to two either a TN or AZ shortline) 2. start building the railroad hahaha
1: Continue to get my stock of painted Locos DCC'd and semi-detailed (I don't superdetail, I just get them close enough) 2: Get at least one of my more ambitious loco projects done. Preferrably one in my freelance scheme. 3: Assuming I don't move someplace with space for a layout, build a Diorama/Module that can be plugged into the future layout. 4: Do more work on the layout backstory. 5: Get metal wheels under all rolling stock. 6: Finish the tank car kits that have been languishing unfinished. 7 Build the Bowser Coal car kits that have also been languishing.
Once I get a permanent job (my most-pressing need), followed by an apartment. Then I can begin thinking about taking up where I left off.
Finally jump in the water and go DCC (I've been saying that for the past five years, so take it with a grain of salt...).
Build, document and write up an article on a B&M GP38-2 in Bicentennial colors, #200. Finish the the roadway on my Potter Place side of the layout. Get blue prints of Potter Place station, convert digital, scratch build said structure. Build Route 11/4 for a natural scenic divider. scenery New fascia Install DCC system Instal practical hanging system for the layout skirt There is a move in there on March 1st, with me and the layout going back home to Illinois. I probably will not get much done from March until August with the layout in storage.
Hi Well I would like to finish the bench work, finalize track laying, finish installing under table switches( modifying normal switch motors) and install final buses and feeder wires. Wire all those switch motors. That should take up some of the year! And that only leaves ballasting, buildings, and scenery, which on a 10 X 6 is a lot left! LOL Jim
