TrainBoard 2010 Prototype Video Challenge Topic: "No Subject" Video Contest Rules:1. Challenges are open to everyone, have fun!! 2. The entry deadline is MIDNIGHT (UTC -11), Friday December 31st, 2010. Late entries will be accepted up until the official "Time's up!" post within the thread. 3. For videos to be eligible they must be recorded & edited between Friday January 1st 2010 and Friday December 31st, 2010. 4. Any posts with video recorded before the period of the challenge will not be included in the poll and will be moved to the video cutting room floor thread. - Ensure dates and times on your camera are correct. - 5. Only one video per participant so please choose the video carefully. 6. Though composition is popular among voters, it is not required. Any video or "quick capture" related to the topic is acceptable! 7. Though not required, commenting on other peoples video is encouraged. *note on commenting* Using quotes is a great way to easily direct comments. For this contest however, please remove video links from any quotes. This helps keep the thread "clean" for when voting time comes. 8. Please use the Video Cutting Room Floor Thread to share the videos that did not make the cut. 9. A clever and distinctive title for your video helps identify it among voters. 10. Post the date in which the video was recorded. At the very least, include the Month if the exact day is unknown. 11. Videos must be under 10 minutes so that no one must spend hours going through videos for judging. *Make sure to allow time for editing your video and uploading it. Don't wait till the last minute and find the poll closed before your video finishes uploading. 12.Please follow instructions on this thread for recommendations and instructions for working with video files online and posing them to TrainBoard. If you have any further questions, contact Mark Watson or simply post them to the thread and we will get back to you asap. Within the first week of January 2011, all entries will be put up for a public vote, in which all members of TrainBoard may vote for their favorite entry(s), regardless of whether you submitted an entry or not. A voting bracket will be decided upon when the time comes. You will be allowed to vote for multiple entries. OK, enough of that bureaucratic reading. Let the contest begin!!!
