*Sigh* I'd held vague hopes of being there. But there's just no way that I can envision a trip right now. So, I'll be looking for those pictures! Boxcab E50
We're leaving on Thursday the 2nd to be in WA by early early (early) Friday morning.... see the in-laws, and then go to the event on Saturday. I'm looking forward to meeting some other MILW modelers. :tb-biggrin: (And yes, I'll have my camera along).
Cameras ready? Fresh batteries? Plenty of film? A large enough card to click many, many views? Wish I could be there! *Sigh* :tb-sad: Boxcab E50
I'll have my camera fully charged up with alot of space for plenty of pictures. I was thinking about browsing down around where the beanery used to be and see if I can see any remnants of foundations. IIRC, Ken you can help me on this one. The Oak trees that are right along side the road (old right of way)at the education center are the Oak trees that used to sit next to the bungalows?
Ryan- Do you know where the substation foundation is located? If the trees are those just slightly up hill, (compass= North-NE, TT= east), that's the place. Up on a slight embankment. Boxcab E50
Yes Ken those are the ones I am thinkng of. So my assumption is correct that the education center sits where the bungalows used to be.
Ryan- I did not get a chance to visit the center while in your area this summer. It was not built, when I was last there. So, maybe you can grab a few photos for us this weekend? Boxcab E50
I hope someone has a model of a kit bashed N Scale MP15AC and bring some of those Milwaukee SD40-2's with the short fuel tanks.I look foreard to seeing all the photos fropm the meet in all the scales.
I've got a bunch of -2's with shortened tanks. In fact I think I've cut them on all but two locos...I need to finish that. However, I won’t be bringing them for this event. Instead I'm planning on having a small work train (nothing major) on my Boylston Diorama, consisting of a GP35 on the lead. I'm actually going to try my hands at doing some video recording for a friend of mine whom asked me for this favor as he cannot be there. I'm sure he won’t mind it being uploaded to youtube or something like that once its over with.
Dang it!! I forgot to get it off! I was going to bring my Z-scale GP and cars. And was lookin' forward to meeting some of you. Pic's please!!
Meet Report! I had a good time at the meet, meeting new people and seeing all kinds of models. Further the guest speakers were very good. Here are some photos, however I believe Jeremy (JKD on trainboard) took some photos as well. Probably a lot more than me so when he gets back from his trip he may post some more. I hope he does because I actually didn't even get photos of everything as I got tied up speaking with people. We had a pretty good turn out I think. One thing I did not like was the lighting. It really was bad and did not make for taking great photos with just a small handheld camera like I had.
