Now, onto France and Switzerland and spooted these along the way while traveling in our tour bus. Click each image to enlarge... [ March 27, 2006, 01:14 PM: Message edited by: Stourbridge Lion ]
Somewhere on the south side of the Circle line, the section shared with the main east-west District line. South Kensington maybe? Or Gloucester Rd?
Not a clue, Darren. I keep clear of London whenever possible! To me, they are just Underground trains

The first one is the Docklands light railway, which now has quite an extensive network of lines in East London, including a link into the City and a tunnel under the thames! All their trains run driverless in normal use as well, which means you can sit at the front & get an excellent view of the line! Well worth exploring if you are a railfan in London.
Thanks for the extra piece of information so I can document the photo as Docklands Light Railway in my RailImages photo alumn as well as the home moive when I get it built. Any one have any idea what the Switzerland train is in the other photograph (#4) currently labeled "Near Basel Switzerland"?
Cannot quite make out the Swiss train. Are there any overhead wires? Can't see any. I am not aware of any diesel railcars in Switzerland. The logo on the side is SBB CFF FFS so belongs to Swiss federal railways.
I will try to go back to the video and see if I can get anything more clearer but this was just a quick clip out of a bus doing ~120KPH and just saw it before it vanished from site.
Here are two more video frames of the train "Near Basel Switzerland" and I see no wires in the 2.08 seconds of the clip I got of it. These are as clear of shots I can get from the video considering the speed of the train and bus before it vanished from my site. [ March 27, 2006, 01:11 PM: Message edited by: Stourbridge Lion ]
Here is a 3MB MPEG view of it too which I have seriously put into Slow Motion where the images came from.
