20 years ago today, my wife shot this photo of me getting a look at 4449's cab, as she was on display (4449, not my wife) in Sacramento, just before the official opening of Railfair 91. At the time I had no idea that this was the beginning of a long association with 4449. Railfair 91 was a great display of steam and got me started in my second round of railfanning. Do any of you have any photos from that event?
That was a great era. Seems now like the 90's were the peak of the steam restoration days. *Sigh* Boxcab E50
