Chicago, Pittsburgh & Eastern SD9 (left) and GP9 (right) wait for decal application and handrails. Both are Athearn models. The GP9 is a dummy, but I am looking for a powered chassis for it. The SD9 (will be #2126) has a bell by Details West, and later will have a plow and MU's installed and a good weathering job like the geep. The GP9 (will be #2347) also has a bell by Details West and a 5-chime combo airhorn. It will also have MU's, decals and handrails in the near future. It has been weathered and "patched" for a "second-hand" effect. This paint job will be the primary scheme for the mid 1960's setting. It is a variation of Seaboard Coast Line black and yellow scheme. DCC is planned in the new year.
I now have 2 Brand-spankin' new Atlas undecorated U23B's with DCC coming in the next week. Two more for the paint shop. I'm gonna have a big back up of locomotives waiting for decals! It's up to 5, now.
