Nice. Studebakers, either love ‘em or hate ‘em. Their designs were ahead of the time. More of a Ford guy myself.

I am a Ford Mustang guy since I was 16. I have had one everyday of my life since then. Still have my dads 66 289 Convertible, my 1983 Mustang GT and a 2019 Bullitt, and a 2024 Dark Horse on order..... Oops! I forgot the 73 Grande
I must be the odd ball here mine is a Chevy Pickup. 1991 with 350,000 + miles on the original engine. It runs as good as when it had 100,000 miles. Only thing i ever done to the engine was a new timing chain. I am looking at maybe 400,000 miles before i may rebuild it. I have had folks out there want it and made some good offers for it. I will be buried on that truck. If someone hits me it better be a good one! On the lark, i have a friend that had a lark and a hawk. Both were redone. i think it was a 350 with fi and had all the computer junk to go with it. The lark was original. the in line 6 was in it. At one time he had a pickup that had everything original the 6 banger worked like a singer sewing machine. He kept it original! Last time i saw them and him was when he died about 6 years ago. His kids have kept them. that hawk was a screamer with that 350 in it!
No Chevy driver is an oddball. I too drive a Silverado (Rainforest green). Mine's a 2014 with 36,000 miles. She's my third. My other vehicle is a 1973 Pontiac Firebird with a 400. Have fun, Wolf
My good trucks have all been Dodge. The one that didn't last wasn't. Car's have been from a VW Bug to Buick Electra. Drove the Pinto wagon the most.
Well truth be told, Mustangs are not the only cars I have had. I also had a 67 Cougar XR7 with the 427 Cobra-Jet engine, and a 73 Cougar convertible The most fun car was my Lotus Turbo Esprit, unfortunately it was stolen The most normal car was a 1995 Ford Thunderbird, for a normal all round daily driver, it is about the best one and I still have it. I have replaced my car insanity with model train insanity..........
Geez, guys. Some time in 1956, Studebaker started lopping the excess off their product, and the result of the project was eventually called Lark. I was trying to make a joke, not unleash the Kraken. For everybody who didn't care what all these guys drive, or used to drive, I'm truly sorry for being a smartass. I'll try to stop.
From 1956 until he retired in1976 my dad worked for the Philco Corporation and its later manifestations. Somewhere along the way it was bought by Ford. I guess they needed an in-house source for car radios. As a Ford employee he and his dependents could buy Ford autos at cost. So, he went from being a Chevy man to a Ford man over night. My brother has had a Mustang ever since he picked up a Mustang II through the employee program. What a piece of junk. He eventually traded that for a 79 Fox Body Mustang. As a retired employee we could still qualify for the program. Another piece of junk. Finally he wound up with a 1987 model that lasted a long time. He gave that to his son later when he got a newer model. I taught his son how to drive the older one with a manual transmission in one afternoon in his high schools parking lot. I think my brother is now driving a 2020 model. OK, back to that Southern Pacific train named after some weird bird.
I’ll stoke the fire. I also have a ‘55 T bird that runs great but needs a good resto. It is my retirement project.
Wow, these are some interesting stories and some very nice old muscle cars. I have a 88 GMC pickup with a 305 and a 78 Pontiac Grand LeMans with a 455.
