Just North of Anderson in 1940. The sidings in the photo were controlled from JR Tower (DOW) at Cross and Indiana Ave. Wendell Willkie traveled extensively by train during his campaign for President.

Nice photo. That's the first Presidential race I remember. I had a "Win With Willkie" button. Found out he was born in Elwood, IN. Is that near by?

Yes, Elwood is just up the road about 20 miles. It was on the Pennsy & NKP lines. The Pennsy line came through Anderson. The NKP line went through Alexandria 10 miles north of Anderson to Elwood.
