120 Ton Brownhoist Crane

    I need some help ith a project. I am building the Gould HO scale Brownhoist crane. I want to paint if for Mo Pac but I cannot find any photos. Can anyone help me?

    The onl photo I can find right now is in Patrick Dorin's book Missouri Pacific Lines Freight trai Services and Equipment. It shows a black and white side view of X-157 which appears to be overall black with yellow rails and grabs/steps. If you have access to the book, it's page 80.

    You could also look at this picture. Just keep in mind that it is copyright to the site, but looks like it could be helpful to you.

    Thanks for the reply and the link to the photo. I have that book but it is on loan to a freind right now. I was hoping for a more interesting paint scheme but I guess it is was it is.

    Pretty much true, and I don't think any road ever got too carried away with work equipment. Are we going to get to see pics later down the way?

    could it be the same color as the atlas mp15dc mopac?
    that almost looks black. i dont know what color atlas uses
    but i need some also

    I just joined so a late reply but I saw one in blue with chevron strips in Palestine TX in the early 90s. Unfortunately, I lost all my pics from that trip.
