What can anyone tell me about the switcher on or was on display in downtown Sidney. I understand that Milwaukee sold it to the Holly sugar company... Sent from my Commando
I have a photo of this, somewhere. 0-4-0, rebuilt from a Class J-2a switcher. But I don't find any information on who did that conversion. There were also several 0-6-0 created, which came from "I" Class switchers, rebuilt for use as shop goats by their West Milwaukee Shops. I know there had been one used at Miles City. There might be a picture of this latter engine in the Charles Wood "Lines West" book.
