Hey guys, Who all is coming to Louisville,KY for the N Scale convention? Ill most likly be at Kentucky Railway Museum on the L&N #152 excursion volunteering on the train. Hope to see ya in Louisville!
I'm just a very satisfied customer and too far to come , so .... have a look for me? I've appreciated the quality for sure: "If you will be in Louisville , come by during Swap-A-Rama or room sales, not the WGH (too rich for my business) George Prototype N Scale Models (TM) by George Hollwedel 310 Loma Verde St Buda, TX 78610-9785 512-796-6883 Micro-Trains | The Ultimate in N and Z scale model trains - George Hollwedel announces: Micro-Trains | The Ultimate in N and Z scale model trains - Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe George Hollwedel
I'm bringing the wife but the "Flashy Character" will be coming with his wife! See you all there, except for you Enzo! George Hollwedel
With the cost of travel being what it is today Kentucky might as well be on the far side of the moon.
Yes, I was planning on doing either Louisville or the FOBNR convention in Nebraska and now I can't do either. $350 minimum just for transportation costs is a WOW that I cannot overcome at this time.
What is the "WGH" show? Thanks. Wait! "World's Greatest Hobby" I get it!!! Where is this show? Thanks.
Isn't the WGH Show the last two days of the convention... at the same venue? The N Scale Convention "Derby Express" is the weekday part of the week long event... right? N scale Convention is the part with all of the clinics... while the WGH show is the part where all of the vendors set-up? Am I completely confused... probably? I'm thinking along the lines of the NMRA convention and their associated NTS (National Train Show) which were back-to-back, sort of intermingled; but, distinct events. BTW... I'm still not counting out a possible appearance for a day or two late in the week... or weekend.
You are correct, sir! The DCE runs all week, while the WGH is the weekend only. Check the website for complete details, in my sig line below.
No, you have it right. However there are still N scale convention things going on over the weekend like the Banquet Saturday night and the Manufactures Breakfast on Sunday morning. That and running the NTRAK layou during the WGH show.
But we are centrally located, being within a days drive of 1/2 of the US population By the way, in the KY hills "moon" has a different meaning.
