I'm very busy with ballasting at Diamond Valley, but I did some switching at Third Street District. Wolfgang
WOW nice job to all.....Russ I really like your SP 4-6-2!!! Here is a caboose I've just finished...well still gotta a few grab irons on the cupola left to do.
Thanks. I posted this photo of it in another thread on paint matching. Flash said I had to post it here too. This is the kit-bashed nose. I cut out the old Con Cor Hudson pilot and inserted the Kato pilot from the GS-4. I covered the gap in the pilot with tape painted with the Badger Modelflex paint. I had previously scratch built the nose cone smoke box cover and the shroud between it above the pilot. I also had to cut away some of the cylinders and the valve gear so I could get clearance to add the skirts. This is what I was trying to end up with.
I'll try to post a pic or two instead of just links. Stewart F3s, B&O passenger Wather's heavyweights

Did not seem to get much done, but will keep tinkering with it. Decided I better grime the place up a little, before I build the wheel peeler and the deck level ramps. May scrap it and start over, but time will tell....John
This all looks very prototypical, to me. I would have no idea what the inside of a shop would look like (or a roundhouse for that matter). I would probably just make it like a machine shop. Very nice job, John W.
