I'd like to thank Steven for organizing this contest and to the sponsors for supporting it! I received my prize package today and it was exceptionally generous. Thank you! The contest certainly pushed me to get something finished and it was great to see so many other high quality entries. (Roland's crane is simply phenomenal, and was an obvious Best in Show - congratulations!) Inspired by Scott Stutzman's entry, I am now working on detailing a Walthers Thrall set. It's really cool how a few etched details can really make a model spring to life. I started out in N scale in the 1970s and after a longish hiatus, returned a few years ago. I'm simply amazed at the progress the scale has made since then, and events like this contest help to further advance "the cause". Best regards, Gary P.S. My boxes of goodies arrived this week too! I'd like to echo the others comments and thanks to Steve and Greenlight Intermodal for a great competition and the all the sponsers for their donations! Thanks as well for the motivation to get a project that had been in my head for a few years out and into reality!
I presently have a few posts here on TB about detailing the semi trailers on my layout. That is a direct result of the Green Light Intermodal contest. All of the contest entires far exceeded my off the shelf models, so I am trying to improve mine. Thanks to Green Light for a great, motivational contest.
Greenlight Intermodal Contest I received my package of prizes last week, but due to illness I have not been able to post until today. The prizes and plaque are excellent. Greenlight did a really nice representation for a contest and I would like to thank Greenlight and all of the judges and I am looking forward to the 2008 contest.
