The old Santa Fe Railroad passenger depot in Norman, Oklahoma circa 1910's. The station, built in 1909, today is used by Amtrak and a Performing Arts Studio. (Norman Chamber of Commerce) When I visited it in December of 2007. Track side view.

I caught this Santa Fe cowl unit coming through Cameron, Texas, not far from the Armadillo Ranch in 1992.
A colorized photo from 1903. Gun Barrel On Flat Car outside the Santa Fe Depot in San Diego. Gun Barrel destined for Fort Rosecrans. Tom Isom collection.
Zebra stripes showing through the "Book End" on a "Torpedo Tube" GP7. Followed up by three Chicago, Burlington & Quincy (sublettered Colorado & Southern) SD9s in Denver, CO. January 1970. Rodney Peterson photo.
...the Army is "special". BTW, for those who don't know, the rooftop air tank "torpedo tubes" explain why that GP-7 never got a chopped nose. It has a steam generator in there.
