Well guys it's great to see you over here due to Atlas being down, we are open 24 hours a day seven days a week 52 weeks a year. So don't forget about us the 50 weeks when Atlas is open although I do know a lot of your guys check this place out as well. Looking forward to seeing some of your posts.
I may as well sound off as present, too. Looking about the message composition page here for the first time I see a lot of inscrutable iconography and choices here without descriptive footnotes.
I too have returned after a very long period as a lurker! I have forgotten now what my original member number was but it was under 100. Guess life really is a big circle!
Atlas could have locked the forum down so that we could at least read the posted there. I am trying to go back and at least skim over every back logged post trying to see what posts pertain to my current projects (weathering, DCC planning, ect...).
I have been on this forum and others. (sometimes just reading). The only difference is the Atlas Forum is busier and sometimes hotter (putting on flame suit, now!) Mr. MRL (LarryMacWI)are you out there?....... I know you are a regular here. Just got back from Rochelle Railroad Park. Day was pretty good. Weather wasn't too hot and we saw 31 trains (23 UP, 8 BNSF) from 9:00 am >> 3:00pm Jerry G. [ 07. July 2003, 01:05: Message edited by: fcnrwy ]
Boy! You did darn well. The last time I was there on sunday the total was 7 trains in the same time frame.
We have been lucky. The average for us is usually 25-ish. The last two trips were 32 and 30 trains. Jerry G.
As soon as all the refugees are in, shut the door, don't let 'em out! Seriously, it is good to see some new names here. Hope you stay around guys
i'll bolt the door, dont tell them about the back door and they wont escape it would be good to see train board become more active, i like it here, despite the fact that sometimes it loads really slow.
Looks like I was right on the money...I take my week of vacation isolated from all internet portals of decent load ratios, and as soon as I get off of that, I find the atlas forum Closed. But that is quite all right, that just means there is MUCH LESS to catch up on... Except here...seems like we are still having a ball!
Hey, just thought I'd poke in to see what is up over here. Just need to fill my forum fix. I think I'm going through withdrawls.
