I received this in the mail today from Iron Mountain. Cool thing is that I paid less than $160 after shipping cost and taxes! Yes, it’s brand new and it was on sale! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Iron Mountain??? Google is coming up with an information company, but nothing about model railroads TIM
Perhaps it was Iron Planet Hobbies... an Amazon vendor. Currently it is offered for $217... so MoPac got a good discount on his. Good job!! Sent from my SM-J737T using Tapatalk
I'm back! Been playing in the new Anyrail. Rearranged the basement. Dug the HCDs out of storage in the garage.
Looks very wintery over your way. I'm getting cold looking at the photo.️Merry Christmas. Sent from my SM-J737T using Tapatalk
Yes, we got a foot from last week's noreaster and another 3 this week. Rain tomorrow will start freezing around night fall, should make for an interesting Christmas morning drive to visit family. Merry Christmas to yinz as well!
Oops! Sorry Tim it was Iron Planet hobbies. I was thinking about Iron Mountain because I ordered a sound decoder for my SD40-2 two weeks ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well it looks like Amazon Santa has a surprise for me. I wasn’t expecting this until January! Today I received two 3D printed kits from China’s Outland Models on Amazon. They have a small footprint grain silo and a signal tower which is a prefect size for my HCD layout. All I will have to do is detail paint it, since it is manufactured in three different colors. I'm still in the process of tuning my printer to be capable of printing that nice and at our scale. Mostly printing upgrades for the printer itself, ha!
After getting an iphone last fall I thought it might be fun to try out using it as a throttle. I ordered the Digitrax LNWI module and it arrived on Christmas eve. All it took to set it up was plug in the power and the loconet. I had already loaded a throttle app on the phone and it worked great the first time.
LNWI just works and so simple too. We have it at train shows so we can give kids a try at driving the trains!
Bought some people for my station and a Kato 2-8-2 NIB for under $100. Removed the PRR lettering - need to spray it with gloss black and decal it, and add a MTL coupler.
