This is the yard light turned off. The thin black object in the center of the light is the PICO LED at the tip of the 1/8 OD brass tube...
Thaxs all. Received the new 10 PICO LEDs today I have all the parts and pieces to get the lights lit now. I hope to start the assembly line tomorrow. We have to go grocery shopping first so not sure what time constraints I will be under. Wednesday and Thursday look like my best bets. My daughter is coming into town from Denver on Friday. Stay tuned for updates.
Went out and pulled up the remainder of the lights in Lucky Penny Yard...plus one new yard light. I received the new shipment of 10 PICO LEDs and the replacement power supply. Should have all the lights lit today.
So I open the package of pico LEDS...guess what...wrong LEDS...again !! I ordered 3v cool white. I got 5-12v warm white !!! These wont work at all ! I called Evan Designs. Talked to Dave. With a little luck I should be getting the right ones this time. Third times charm ?????? Saying that lighting these yard lights has been test of my patience is an understaement !!
This is beginning to rival my attempts to get Kato unitrack short Rad turnouts, It took me fours tries.
At 200+mph...inches form one another. Doesnt seem like an easy task to me...JS *BTW...nascar also runs road courses at near the same speeds...lefts....rights...lefts..right...straights.
Hoping to get the new 'right' LEDs by Monday. I can't work at the bench in THERR RV...to cold. THE WIFE is watching me with eagle eyes...working on the dining room table...lol
About 10 years ago got to run around Las Vegas Motor Speedway with my street rod. We were suppose to hold the speed down, but by falling back a ways from the car ahead I got to run about half the track at 95 and thought, "add 100 mph to this speed with a car 6"-9" away, on the banking that you have a hard time walking up, lap after lap, not easy at all". Years ago I was at event where there was full cockpit sit in NASCAR simulator. It was not a PC with a big screen running a driving program. While I was waiting my turn on line i was thinking this will be boring and how hard could it be? I was TOTALLY wrong. Hard as hell! Try making minute wheel corrections at 200 MPH!
Looking Sweet ! These will look very nice in the dark. My street just recently updated the street lights to these giant LED panels. Super bright even on a foggy night. These looks identical ! haha. Try out some dry ice for fog !!
Naw Carl...You didnt lead me astray. I just think Dave at Evan Designs and I werent quite on the same page. No worries...it will get sorted. I like the products he sells.
Soooooooooooooooooo... While I wait for the right LED's to get here I decided to paint the light poles. Light poles arent brass...LOL.. I painted them a metallic silver...to simulate galvanized steel poles...
